Gang Awareness Presentation

I read over on halifaxtalk.com there there was a gang presentation tonight at First Baptist Church in South Boston. I'd be interested in impressions from anyone that attended the event. Email comments and/or audio video recordings to halifax.news@gmail.com.

I'm not completely convinced that Halifax County has a huge gang issue, but I am willing to take a look at the information presented with an open mind.

If every Black man I see walking around in 70 degree weather with a thick jacket and hood on there head is a gang member, we got a problem.

It looks like the biggest gang problem we have is a bunch of morons posting on this website.

The biggest gang problem in Halifax County is the bunch of wannabes. I honestly don't think there are real gangs with real affiliations. It's just the westside crew versus the other crews in a piss ant drug war.

There is a gang problem here. It's in the infancy stage, so now would be the time to get a grip on it.

A certain law man has said that the gang problem in halifax county has been trumped up to feather the cap of the CA. This would be untrue, as the gang activity in HC began long before her time in the office.

It's hard to get a grip on gangs when the government keeps cutting the budget for police and when people keep calling for police departments to be done away with.
People expect too much without wanting to pay the price.

I was not even aware that HPD, which to my knowledge has been the only police department in which getting rid of it has been even mentioned on this blog, was involved in investigating gang crime?

In fact are they even part of the precious regional task force headed up by God, I mean special agent Campbell, and his lackey Sheriff Noblin?
