School Board Budget Discussion

Did anyone else find the article about the Halifax County School Board's budget discussion in today's Gazette-Virginian interesting?

My curiosity was really piqued by this:

Superintendent Paul Stapleton told the board seven central office positions have been cut during his tenure, and the proposed four cuts would make a total of 11 administrative positions cut.

I would be very interested to know the titles of the seven cut and four proposed cut positions. Anyone with that information should email it to me at halifax.news@gmail.com.

What would be even more interesting is finding out how many positions have been added at central office during his tenure. It appears to me that the increase in numbers there far surpass the eleven positions he prides himself in cutting.

That is a valid question. You would think one of the local papers would ask a few questions instead of only printing press releases, wouldn't you?

It would be refreshing to see either paper hire an agressive reporter who actually went looking for news, rather than checking email and the fax machine.
