Mismanagement of Closed Schools

I have heard that perfectly usable A/V equipment and textbooks were left in C.H. Friend Elementary School for vandals to destroy. Can anyone who attended the auctions this weekend confirm this in the comments?

And the School Board has the nerve to ask us for more money? What a sad commentary that is. If the equipment wasn't needed it should have been sold at auction. The school system usually holds an annual auction at the bus shop to recoup a fraction of the money it overspends on equipment like that every year.

Hey School Board: GIVE US A BREAK!

I received a forwarded email that was from a former Libarian of CH Friend that was at the auction. She went inside the school before the auction, and according to her the school had been vandalized, with gang mottos, broken windows, destroyed equipment, ceiling collasped, etc.

Thanks for posting that info. That is actually the 3rd person I've heard almost the exact same story from, so I'll accept it as truth.

The School System mismanaged our money AGAIN. Who is the facilities manager and why is he not answering for this?

Yes, I talked to the Librarian too. I actually walked through with her after the auction until we were told they were locking up.
